Below is a list of various workshops and events I have led or supported.
TIFF KIDS 3D Printing camp 2016
A one day workshop during TIFF's March break camp, where children aged 9-12 learned how to model in Fusion 360. The children then learned how an FDM 3D printer worked as well as how to operate one. The day was ended with the children suing the 3D printer to print their own 3D models.
Tiff Kids scratch camp 2015
TIFF KIDS SCRATCH CAMP 2015 ran in either a one week or a one day workshop format, where children aged 9-14 learned the basics of programming and how to use the Scratch programming language. This included IF statements, Loops, mathematical operations, and more.
TIFF KiDS Maker/Creator Camp 2015
Children aged 11-14 were introduced to the Processing programming interface, where they learned the basics of programming. This included IF statements, Loops, graphical items, and more. The children used their new skills to create their own 2-dimensional characters.
In addition the children were also introduced to Arduino's (a microcontroller) and the basics of electronics. Using their new skills, the children created their own Morse code buzzers.
